Breeding Philosophy: The primary business of Snepp Farms Inc. is grain farming. The cattle operation was originally started to utilize the less productive or non-farmable ground. Over the years, the cattle evolved to a Registered Angus herd, and the Snepps' involvement in cattle related activities expanded greatly. While Pam and Don Snepp enjoy showing cattle, their participation in Angus cattle activities on a national level has made them ACUTELY AWARE of the fact that as seed stock engineers, THE ROLE of the purebred cattle breeder IS TO PRODUCE CATTLE THAT SUPPORT the BEEF BUSINESS. This means fertile, sound, functional cattle that are heavy muscled and easy fleshing; cattle that will consistenly provide the consumer with tender, flavorful beef. The BREEDING PROGRAM can best be SUMMARIZED AS striving to combine FUNCTION AND PERFORMANCE IN AN EYE APPEALING PACKAGE. Profit Maker Bulls Comments: Some people wonder whether small herds can produce high quality cattle. When pasture is limited, one must ensure that every animal makes a positive contribution. Because SELECTION PRESSURE is INTENSIFIED, some small herds have EXTREMELY HIGH QUALITY cattle. This is the case at Snepp Farms. The bulls that we have tested have both PERFORMED AND SOLD ABOVE THE AVERAGE at Profit Maker Bulls. Contacting Snepp Farms Inc.:
